At 183 feet high, 150 feet wide and 390 feet long, Tonto Natural Bridge is believed to be the largest travertine bridge in the world. The platform across the bridge is approximately 1050 feet long. The Friends of Tonto Natural Bridge have as our goal to raise awareness of the plight of the Bridge should the State of Arizona reduce or eliminate public funding. We stand ready and able to raise funds to accomplish our goal when necessary.
We are actively engaged in fundraising. We have received two grants totaling $8,500 to update the kiosks and build a monument/entrance sign at the entrance to the bridge. We are still awaiting ADOT approval for the entrance sign, but we must raise $8500 in matching funds to receive the grant. Your help is urgently needed. Arizona Highways will donate $5 to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park for every $24 subscription. Simply go to http://www.arizonahighways.com/stateparks.html and enter our park code (V0CPTN).
